Experienced with public budgets & process
Public art runs on trust, process, and follow-through. Carmo is fluent in municipal approvals, permitting, public budgets, and RFP/RFQ submissions — from first concept to ribbon-cutting.
Recent civic work includes Dream in Action, a 90-foot tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for the City of Hollywood's MLK Community Center; Holding Tomorrow, building-scale public art for the North Miami CRA; and Voices of Joy, a 125-foot mural at Virginia Shuman Young Elementary in Fort Lauderdale.
Qualifications, references, insurance certificates, and a full portfolio of completed exterior and public commissions are available on request for selection panels and arts councils.
