Architecture into art

Working as Carmo, I paint walls that hold light the way the coast does — warm, salt-worn, and alive at every hour of the day. Over twenty years I've turned buildings into landmarks across South Florida: from a 90-foot tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for the City of Hollywood, to building-scale public art for North Miami's CRA, to portraits, schools, and brand walls throughout Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Hallandale Beach.

With 600+ walls painted since 2003, I work with municipalities, schools, developers, and private collectors — licensed and insured on request, with equipment, lifts, and the Florida climate all handled. Every project starts with the architecture and the people who live with it: the aim is a piece that feels inevitable in its place, never simply applied to it.

How I work

From the first site visit, every commission moves through the same clear stages: discovery and measurements, a written proposal with an itemized price, a to-scale mockup you approve before any paint, careful surface prep, painting, and a protective UV and anti-graffiti seal so the wall lasts in the Florida sun. You always know what's happening, what it costs, and when it's done.
